Discover the Latest Features in ReadON’s Version Updates(1.4.12–1.4.15)

ReadON is a Web3 decentralized content aggregation and distribution product. Our goal is to create a one-stop platform for Web3 users to access all information and become a traffic entry point from Web2 to Web3 in the future. Based on feedback from the community and our team’s optimization of the app, we have updated some new features in versions 1.4.12–1.4.15, including the highly anticipated ‘Search’ and ‘Catto Minting’ functions.

🔸Search Function

To facilitate users in finding the desired materials and information within the ReadON app, we have added a search function on the homepage. The retrieved contents are sorted by relevance and presented according to the categories of articles, videos, and tweets.

🔸Decentralized Bullet Chat

ReadON’s decentralized bullet chat is a new fan economy bridge linking Web2 and Web3, showcasing Web3’s features to traditional video creators. The bullet chat system provides interactivity, publicness, entertainment, and culture, and its decentralized storage preserves roast as a permanent record of human thought, enhancing user privacy and data security.

To create a good bullet chat environment, ReadON will block invalid symbols, offensive, advertising, vulgar, obscene, violent, discriminatory, and other inappropriate bullet chat messages based on ChatGPT. We strongly oppose such bad behavior, and for users who violate relevant regulations, we will take corresponding management measures.

Decentralized bullet chat is divided into two categories:

Super bullet chat: Each person can send three free super bullet chat messages per day. The content of super bullet chat will be chained and requires confirmation on the Particle network’s signature page when sending, and will be displayed in color after sending.
Common bullet chat: Ordinary bullet chat has the same properties as comments.

When watching a video, users can set the bullet chat language in the upper right corner of the video or choose to block the bullet chat. In addition, we have added a daily task to send bullet chat messages, and users can earn 100 points by sending one super bullet chat message per day.

In future versions, we will launch a reward function. Users can reward their favorite content creators by sending bullet chat messages, and the content creators will directly receive the relevant benefits. Stay tuned.

🔸DanmakuFest

We have added a DanmakuFest feed on the main-page, which is a collection of recommended videos that allow super bullet chat messages, curated by the ReadON community. We will continue to add more video content in batches to improve the user experience over time.

🔸Minting Function

We have launched the minting function for Catto NFT and on-sale Catto Part, which will be listed on-chain for user trading in the future.

Catto Minting

Users can use the points they earn from reading, completing tasks, etc. to obtain RBB, and the parts they obtain can be used to mint a complete Catto NFT. Minting a Cat requires mandatory parts and 2 optional parts, and the rarity of the parts needs to be consistent.

The minted Catto will have the same name as the topic part, with randomly generated attributes and a unique number. Four-star Cattos will have higher attributes than three-star Cattos, with higher utility value.

How to mint?

To mint a Catto NFT, simply click on any Catto Part in the “Part” section of the Cattery, and then click on the “Mint Now” button located below to access the minting interface.
Customize your Catto NFT by mixing and matching your owned parts, and then click on the “Mint” button to create a one-of-a-kind Catto NFT tailored to your liking.
Once minted, your Catto will be added to the ‘Catto’ list in the Cattery for all to see.

On Sale Catto Part Minting

In the future, all Catto Parts that are traded on-chain will require minting into individual tradable pieces by being added to a shopping cart.

How to mint?

To mint your Catto Parts, simply head to the “Miscellaneous” section of the Cattery and click on any Shopping Cart. Then, click on the “Mint Now” button located below to access the minting interface.
Choose the parts you wish to sell, click on the Mint” button, and receive an On Sale Catto Part that’s ready to trade.
Your minted parts will still be listed in the cCattery’s Part section, with an “On Sale” label displayed in the upper right corner to distinguish them from regular Catto Parts.

Please note that each basket can only be used once.

Please note that currently, only one ccProfile can be minted per Readon account. If you have already minted your ccProfile on the web, it will be displayed directly in the app.

🔸AIGC Guide

To enhance the reading experience for longer articles, we utilize OpenAI to generate brief summaries for articles that are expected to take over 10 minutes to read. After reading the summary, users can then decide whether or not they would like to continue reading the entire article.
