ReadON Version Updates Plan and Latest Events
ReadON APP is a Read-Fi mobile application aimed at creating the largest decentralized content distribution engine to help users efficiently discover high-quality content and overcome the information cocoon problem brought by traditional social media. The following is the content of version 1.4.9 & 1.4.10 updates, as well as the version updates plan and latest events in the near future.
Version Update Content (1.4.9) — Now Live
🔸New Video Feed and Video Detail Page Added
To provide users with a more diverse range of information, we have added video content. Users can view video push notifications in the ‘Videos’ section on the main page and receive a certain amount of video push notifications in the ‘For You’ section.
The video detail page includes basic functions such as likes/dislikes, comments, sharing, and favorites, and videos are distributed to different topic squares based on content categories.
To calculate the real viewing time, a floating bubble with the word ‘XP’ will appear after watching a video for a while. Users must click on the bubble to be recognized by the system and increase viewing time.
🔸Bug Fixes and Optimizations
We have fixed known bugs in the app and optimized the interface and functionality, including optimizing the empty state of the feeds with the addition of a refresh button, improving the interface of the blind box list page, and exchanging the positions of the message and check-in pages.
Version Update Content (1.4.10) — Now Live
🔸Anti-Cheating Agreement
From the outset of the project, we have been working on an anti-cheating protocol. As ReadON and its open beta app continue to gain popularity, we expect to update some details of the Anti-Cheating Agreement in version 1.4.10 to detect and penalize cheating, spamming, and fake users and related behaviors considering the overall health of the project. For now, The following behaviors will be against our policy:
- Reverse-engineering or hacking of the current system
- Faking real devices
- Using automation tools to imitate real users
- Using rooted or hacked devices
- Other kinds of hacking behaviors
For these users, ReadON may penalize users performing the above, with the following actions:
- Limiting functions
- Banning accounts
- Deducting points
Version Update Plan (1.4.11)
🔸Invitation Feature and Mechanism Update
Currently, users can complete achievement tasks and receive corresponding points based on the number of people they invite. Afterwards, we expect to add a feature in version 1.4.11 that rewards users directly with points for inviting others.
Over and above the achievement tasks, every person a user invites who passes the 24-hour anti-cheating review, they will immediately receive 100 points. For existing users, we will also retroactively add points based on their total number of invitations.
Latest Events
🔸Participate in the Survey for a 300 Point Reward
In order to improve the product and further the development of the project, we have sent a message to all current users within the app. The message contains a questionnaire for users to fill out, and all users who complete it will receive a 300 point reward. To view the message, go to the main page and tap the 🔔 icon in the upper right corner.
We look forward to hearing users’ honest opinions and gradually shaping ReadON into a user-friendly information aggregation product.
🔸ReadON Beta Box February Special Event
As a way to show gratitude for your ongoing support and love for ReadON, we will be offering special rewards for participants in the ReadON Beta Box event. The top 1 to 10 users will receive 20U and ReadON whitelist, and an additional 10 whitelist will be randomly drawn from the participants.
Event dates: February 1st — February 28th
Event rules: Complete the task at Givelab to earn corresponding task points.
