During the beta phase of ReadON APP, users can earn ‘Points’ as a reward for reading and engaging with the app through daily check-ins, tasks, and achievements. The points-earning system is designed to incentivize reading behavior among users.

What is the ReadON Beta Box (RBB)

The ReadON Beta Box is a reward available to users during the beta phase of the app and can be redeemed using points.

It contains three parts: Catto Parts, Shopping Carts, and $READ Token Vouchers. By opening the box, users can collect a complete set of NFT parts, which they can then use the forge system to turn into a brand new Catto NFT for free in the app.

This system will only be available to beta users with a limited number of RBBs due to its free-mint nature. ReadON users can redeem an RBB for 6000 points in the app, and the total number of RBBs will be limited.

The reason for introducing the ReadON Beta Box

The original design of ReadON’s tokenomics includes a complete life-cycle for $READ tokens, which relies on the full range of features including content creation, curation, and consumption. However, it will take time to build the product and grow the community, during which the value of $READ tokens may be too volatile for both investors and early adopters. To address this, we have introduced the ReadON Beta Box and Points for two main purposes:

A unique form of reward for early adopters during the beta phase.
Non-tradable points and tradable NFTs together create a dynamic and healthy environment for the early phase of ReadON.

Components of the ReadON Beta Box

Each RBB contains three prizes from a pool with fixed probability. There are three types of prizes:

Catto Parts: According to rarity, cards are divided into blue for three-star parts and yellow for four-star parts.

This is the primary type of reward. There are 10 types of parts corresponding to 10 trait types of the Catto NFT. Each type of part contains tens to hundreds of variations.

Shopping Carts

By default, Catto Parts are not tradable. Shopping Carts will enable users to sell a certain Catto part either in the in-app marketplace or mint an NFT out of it and trade it in any NFT marketplace afterwards.

$READ Token Vouchers

Vouchers that could be redeemed for $READ tokens after its TGE(Token Generation Event). The same NFT reward for alpha test winners.

How to mint a Catto NFT

Catto NFTs consist of 10 different types of parts, including 8 required parts (Body, Attire, Expression, Glasses, Topic, Head, Tail, and Background) and 2 optional parts (Tail Decoration and Mount).

Users can create their own unique Catto NFT using the in-app forge system by combining 8 required parts and 2 optional parts. The traits of the minted NFT will match those of the parts used, giving the creator the ability to tailor the characteristics of the NFT to their preferences.
