Discover the Latest Features in ReadON’s Version Updates(1.4.26–1.4.27)
In versions 1.4.22–1.4.24, we addressed several issues reported by our backend and community, and ensured that the iOS version was synchronized with the Android version. We apologize for any inconvenience experienced by our users during this period. In versions 1.4.26 and 1.4.27, the ReadON app has updated some features that users are very concerned about, including News Tab, Part Recasting, and Double Gas Returns. So, without further ado, let’s dive into what’s new in the latest version of the ReadON app!

🔸News Tab Added
We’ve added a NEWS TAB to the homepage, providing users with real-time flash news. The news is displayed in reverse chronological order, with important headlines marked in red for easy browsing.

🔸Part Recasting
Part Recasting enables you to convert three spare parts into a new random part of the same star rating. Here’s how to use it:
- Redeem 3,000 points for a Recast Scroll in “My Assets”.
- Find the Recast Scroll in the “Miscellaneous” section of the Cattery and click to enter the recasting interface.
- Click the upper right corner to switch the part’s star rating, select any three parts to recast, and click “Recast”.
- After recasting, you will obtain a random part of the same star rating.
Please note that On-sale Part cannot be recast.
🔸Gas Fee Refund
To express our gratitude to the users who voted for ReadON in the Web3 Social Hackathon, we will be refunding double the amount of gas fees incurred during the voting period. The refunded fees will be returned in ETH to the user’s Particle wallet, based on the average rate during the voting period. After connecting the external wallet used for voting on the ReadON app, users will receive a notification from in-app message to claim their refund manually.
Refund Policy: If a user has cast two votes or less, they can choose between receiving points or double gas fees, with each vote being equivalent to 250 points. For three or more votes, only double gas fees can be refunded.

🔸Login Refactoring
We have optimized the log-in/sign-in interface, enabling users to log in using their connected external wallets and also register a new account using an external wallet.
🔸In-app Messaging Optimization
We’ve optimized the messaging system, including a name change from “system messages” to “handpicked for you” and the addition of a “mark all as read” button in the upper right corner. Additionally, a new type of in-app message has been added for receiving rewards and props.
🔸Reading Optimization
We’ve made several optimizations to the reading module to enhance the user’s reading experience. These improvements include graying out articles that have already been read, displaying the number of views on the details page, and showing the “dislike” button for comments.
